The front bumper is solid, the only problem I've heard of is rear bumper having issues with the tire mount gate not locking. The xrc has the same issue. Everything on the front bumper that I just bought looks good, solid and clean welding on the bull bar. For the price, I can't complain.

Basically a company comes along and puts their logo on a Chinese made product and then marks up the price, like Smittybilt does. Often times you can find similar, if not the same products being sold as generic, or marketed using a cheesy name, and buy them cheaper by skipping the middle man mark-up.
One recent example was that I purchased pair of generic "X-Treme" grab handles on eBay for $21 dollars. When I received the handles, they had Smittybilt labels sewn on; go figure. These are the same identical handles sold by "Master Craft" for $40 dollars after they apply their label; twice as much.
To say "you get what you pay for" is not an absolute truth.
One other thing, eBay is not a bad place to buy stuff. If you know what your doing and what to look for, it's an awesome place to buy & sell.

wish i could give some first hand experience on the bumper topic but all i can comment on is the stocking of items on hand. some of these vendors will post an auction in hopes of roping a customer only for you to find out its not in inventory and will be 3-4 weeks getting it. do your research on customer feedback, seller reliability and such.....an educated buyer is not a dumb buyer. issues i had been going to comment on have already been said previously.

Being a college kid I am going to go with the e auto grilles rear bumper and tire carrier. From reviews I have seen it seems to do the job just fine and it's affordable. If that's all I can afford right now than so be it. I can always get something different in the future. it is identical to smittybilts xrc bumper

I'm ordering the eautogrilles front bumper with LEDs, and the rear bumper with tire carrier. They look well made from what I see online and you can't beat the price.
