Is it possible to (thinly I suppose) insulate a soft top?

Maybe...I suppose you could glue it to the inside of the top...or sew it, but that might cause leaks. If you shape the insulation to stay inside the roll bars/ sound bar. Same with the sunrider section over the driver/front pax. I don't think you need to though. Doesn't seem different than the hard top to me. It's been colder here in NW Tx. Highs in the 40's low's in the 30's. Feels the same.

That is so sweet that I can hardly stand it! Looks way better on a wrangler than it does on the unlimited. I have a 2012 Rubi like yours in Dozer. I will be ordering up one of these. This is one of the few times that I can say that the full factory roll cage is a plus. Although I would prefer less roll cage (like a CJ) this top makes great use of the factory cage and gets rid of a lot of soft top hardware and de-complicates things.

I don't know about it looking better on a 2dr then a 4dr I think it looks good on both
