What is the build date of your JK? What slots are you talking about? I am concerned since I put mine in about 2 feet of water when I had about 4,000 miles.

built jan 2007 and if you have a manual you have the slots on the bottom.

is your an auto or stick. i really have no idea why mine blew up i am sure if this was an issue they would have devised an alternative. i mean the tjs have the same gap on the bottom.

Hey Jerzyjeep, your a busy man, just saw you ranting over on another forum...hope you get the answer your looking for with your Mall Rated JK. Get a hold of ThinkMud he has real Trail Rated One, and ask him why his didn't do what your saying. Maybe learn his secrets because he buried his NASTY bad and no trouble....

i will have to do that. this isn't a rant its just a heads up. i am not looking for sympathy or anything like that. if you ride hard enough your going to break it. just kinda let down cause my new jeep is broke.

sorry to hear about the mud. Mud has a habbit of getting into places you dont want it. My suggestion is to stay out of the deep mud. And as for the video on the Jeep website, if you watch close you will notice the Jeep is driving through a "hard bottom" water crossing. Which means no mud. Stick to rocks, atleast you can see when they are going to bite back. I have replaced too many components due to mud in my younger days. Nowadays we stick to Rockcrawling. well its been 2 weeks and here's the update. went to pick up the jeep and from just starting it i knew something wasn't right. my dumb ass paid for the repairs before i took it for a test drive. the jeep ran horrible. i had to slam the clutch to the floor so shift gears and there was a horrible knocking in the engne. man i miss my jeep. i have soo many parts sitting in my living room and no jeep to put them on. this sucks

I'm a little confused, you went in & they did't fix it correctly, whats that got to do with you paying,, drive the Dam thing back., and what did you have done with your engine to have it knock??????????????????????????????????????
