Default Touchless Car Wash?

I should be getting my 2x door Rubi in a few days... On the rails as I type..... I live in MA lots of salt on the roads this time of year.... I saw a thread similar to this but can find it. Anyway , the touchless car washes are great, but when they hit drying mode, it turns into a wind tunnel in there! It is strong enough that it lifts the windshield wipers off the glass on my xterra when it rolls by... My question is do you think the hardtop can take that abuse knowing that it is a three peice design? Or should I just deal with the cold and use the manual bay?

It sure can, i never even thought about it when i went through the Touchless... do it all the time actually, it sure lifts the wipers, but no issues with the top, i have the 3 peice freedom top by the way, the 2 dr has a one peice right??? i think thats right, anyway, i imagine the one peice top if anything would be better yet than the three peice. Just my .02

Riprock, Westfield MA here and this is my 1st Jeep so I was also wondering about the soft touch carwashes as I have allways washed my cars by hand at home or at the carwash.
I just make sure to fill a "Poland Springs" bottle ( from a water cooler) with warm water and take it with me along with a sponge and a bucket as I found out a few years back that the "touchless" car wash have these harsh chemicals that eat up at your paint, so being a newbee with the Rubi, I would hate to have these chemicals damage the hardtop finish.... ...

Been thru the car wash a number of times and the Freedom top held out no problems what is worrying is the way the paper thin hood flexes and wobbles under the air blowers, I dont hang around too long under those high powered airstreams.

What about the car washes and soft tops? Is the liquid wax bad for the top? Leave stains/spots?

Can't comment on the soft top but can on car wash bay's and high power blower driers. I have ALWAYS hand washed and dried every car/jeep I have ever owned. I got my JK and did the same for the first wash... that was enough... It is a PAIN to wash and dry the 4-dr by hand. I now only go to the car wash 'bay', i don't use the brush though!! Just water and a sponge for hand washing when too much MUD is on it. With this and high power blow dry, much quicker than hand wash, good to go. No worries with the HIGH power blow dry, it does push the hood and wipers but does the job with a qucik wipe down afterwards...
