top down vs. a/c MPG

The best mpg that I can get is around 16.5, what gears and tire size are you guys running?

I agree with PWAIN... a lot of it has to do with driver and geography. Once I relearned how to drive manual (LOL thats another story)... things are much smoother.

To answer the last post I have a 6-speed manual with a 4.10 rear end.

2008 JKU X with auto and 3.73, and rubi take-off tires (had the dealer correct the speedo). With hard top and doors on I get a little over 19 with summer gas and a little over 18 with winter gas. I'm surprised how little of a penalty I have to pay to go doorless as long as I leave the front panels on.

I do that- did it today in fact. Top off and a/c on high with vents pointed all toward me! I don't give a single damn about gas mileage. If I did I'd buy something else.
