Perhaps the Dealer that actually did the re-gearing is going to honor their own workmanship and handle it "in house". If that is the case you have found a jewel of a Dealer and I'd stick with them. Way too often people (not just dealers) are willing to take your money to perform work but are unwilling to stand up and take responsibility for a faulty installation and repair it as they rightfully should. Good luck... Mike

Correction, the dealer IS taking care of rear differential. D.C. will take care of the right front axle seal and pinion seal.

Naw, this is the 2nd set of axle seals to be put in. It's always the right front, I'm starting to think something is wrong with the right axle. Maybe a rough spot where the seal rides on the axle. Don't know.

Got my Jeep back from the dealer yesterday. It had a broken bolt in the rear diff. They replaced the differential case, pinion bearings, pinion oil slinger, and pinion seal. And yes RuBob they did warranty the work themselves and repaid me the cost of renting the trailer. Glad to get the Jeep back. Long two weeks.

She said we would take it to the dealer in St. Louis were we bought it. They said no good as they already contacted Chrysler. When I told St. Louis dealer this he said B.S. It would be warranted. Now we have to wait and see if D.C. steps in.

Take a lesson from the above. "They said no good as they already contacted Chrysler." The obviously pulled no punches when it was taken in to look at and what's more they made a descision without regards to the facts. Real Dealer service that, and super caring in a time when the economy is not on an upswing.

So....That being said, DO NOT feel bad about turning the dealer into DC for dispute, even after the very first mishandled complaint if you had tried to get it rectified before you left.

They had absolutlely NO MERCY with you the customer, so maybe they really don't care too much about their 5 Star rating. Have no mercy if they wrong you and don't follow procedures. Besides, the sooner you start a record, the easier to get resolved. With customer to dealer relationships nice guys finish last. Use this with common sense, but use it.

CIJeep, the dealer I bought it at IS a five star dealer and treats my great but is about 150 miles away, so my wife took it to the dealer closest to us. Big mistake, as DC doesn't even give them a 3 star rating. Service sucks! Yes GraceMWJT Reuther is where I bought it and I will buy my next Jeep there too.

It'a too bad that someone close is so damn lousy.

Makes it hard to just pull in for simple service.

It is a shame that more dealerships are not like this one!

They proudly support and sponsor our local Jeep Club (midwest jeepthing). Any true jeeper in the area knows to go to them as they cover more things under warrenty and will work with an individual as best as they can.

when I hear some of the horror stories about other dealerships, I am so lucky that the one that we endorse is so easy to work with.
