Default Tire Size Questions

Ok, so when it is time to replace tires I want to go with the BFG KM2 in a 315...not thinking of pushing a true 35 and this suits me fne. However, when I look for that size it only comes in 315/70/R17...and yet the stock BFG KM were 255/75/R17...does the ratio matter that much? I am not a tire expert nor mechanic, but I just want this tire on my stock JK rims...I have seen them out there, but am wondering how they did it!?!

Thanks for the advice and tips!

All you need is wheel spacers. 1.5" Wheel spacers. Might have to trim your fenders though with only a 2" lift. The 315/70 will be about 12.5 inches wide. Stock is 10.5. You need 4.5 backspacing to clear those new tires. Search backspacing for all the details.

32" to 35" tire. You will loose ratio. Your Jeep will be a bit slower on acceleration. But don't worry about that. You can also regear later.

So....wheel spacers @ 4.5 inches? That is what will make the tires stick out more? Sorry for the noob questions...just don't know! Thanks all!
