Default Tire help needed

I have a stock 07 wrangler unlimited. Well stock suspension. I'm wanting to put 33s on it. I have the 17 Moab wheels.
What tires will fit it that are 33s? Or am I going to need to change rims cause the stock ones aren't wide enough?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

all kinds of tires will fit those wheels..

The problem isnt the width of those wheels...... Its the Backspacing on them that is the problem for you to go bigger .

To Run 33's which are the 285/70/17s you should add wheel spacers, so you wont rub your tires on the jeeps undercarriage when you turn your steering wheel to full left or full right. Ideally you should use wheels with 4.5" of backspacing. I believe the MOABs have 6" so adding 1.5" spacers will get you to where you need to be.

Getting the spacers will also get you a wider stance too.

OR.. Buy some different wheels with the right backspacing to run the bigger tires

Default Confused

I have a 2012 Rubicon and want to run 285/70 r17 on my stock rim. Some say wheel spacers, some say no need. Which is it?

I'm wondering the sane thing if I would need spacers or not. Don't want to get them and find out that I don't need them. What's other ppls thoughts on this?

I run stock wheels and 285/70/17 GY Duratracs they have a slight rub at full-full lock I added spacers just for added state of mind. Most 285/70/17 tires will not rub even at full lock on stock setup.
