Default Tire cover question

I have been thinking about getting a black vinyl tire cover for my JK. I would really like to do something custom to the cover and have thought about putting a decal on the cover. the decal i want to use is a boat decal and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this or how you think it would hold up. It would only cost me around 50 bucks for the completed "custom" tire cover so its not too much. it would definately be unique and last for a decent amount of time. What do you think?

I don't know how well a vinyl decal will stick to the soft vinyl in the heat. Here is a much more expensive option if you want a custom decal on a hard cover, I think it should stick to this... But you have to stay at a 32" spare...

There is also the possibility of airbrushing it. I have have been debating that. Don't know if it will hold either though.
