Tinted Soft Top Windows: Where to Buy them?
As the title says. I'm looking for Soft Top windows for my 2Dr that are Tinted dark dark dark dark that I can use with the stock soft top (meaning whereever they come from they have to be able to zip in and whatnot as they would if they were stock)
Does the dealership sell them? What about Bestop? Do they sell just windows that fit the stock soft top?

When you order them though, just check to make sure they're the tint level you want...Granted, I think they only come in one or two levels but since you want "dark dark dark dark", you may want to ask just in case. My JK came with tinted soft windows and "sun shaded" rear glass (35% on the glass and 15% on the soft). I ended up getting 15% all around but in my book, "dark dark dark dark" (that's 4 darks..) would be around 5%. I don't know if anyone sells 5% soft windows. If anyone knows of a vendor that does, please chime in here...I'd definitely be interested. The 15% works fine and looks good both inside and out but with soft (read: easily sliced) windows, anything you put in the back is a prime target so "shading" it is a nice "security feature".
...then again, it may just cause them to carve my rig up just to see what's inside anyways.

Thats right, dark dark dark dark (4 darks)
Basically I just dont want something kinda "smokey" in color. I want something that from the outside and from a distance away, say 10-15 feet they look black.
Trying to go with the whole "black and red only" trend on my Jeep. To me clear vinyl windows = silver/chrome. And that needs to go.
The Bestop ones from the above linked Quadratec site are 31%...is that "too smokey" for my taste?

I believe mine are the Mopars and the guy at the tint shop read them at 15%. I don't know if 31% will be too smokey for "your taste" but I'd prefer one-way glass if I could get it so I can't compare my opinion and someone else's. I also had to weigh in the whole "legal" mumbo-jumbo since here in MD, 35% is minimum passable level. I figure that they PROBABLY won't get me for my windows unless I'm doing something else I shouldn't and with 37's, I'm most likely not speeding too much.
Just something to think about.
I don't know what the Mopars are...straight from Mopar these days (may change year to year) but they may be your best bet for a "quad-dark" set-up.
These aren't the best pics for window shots but you can get the idea. They look nice and dark in most situations. The only time I really wish they were darker is when the sun is shining straight in the back or if I'm parked under a really bright street light at night.

Ive seen the Bestop swatches for the soft tops. If I remember correctly the Bestop tinted vinyl window is pretty smokey. Hence why I asked. I think I might fork over the extra hundred or so bucks and go with Mopar since Ive seen them come stock on vehicles and its along the lines of darkness that I'm looking for.
