I get waves from modded and stock; the old, the young and soccer moms too. Jeep chicks wave alot if they aren't on the cell phone.

Saw a guy today in a moded JK unlimited. Looked to have the warn bumper, winch and everything, and i think he had a small lift too.

Point it we clearly saw eachother, gave him a nice distinctive wave with a smile, and he simply gave me the most puzzeled look i have ever seen!

First Jeep with Mods ive seen that the driver seamed to not know what the wave was, hahah

I wave to most Jeeps [ sometimes I'm in my own little world and don't see them soon enough ] whether I'm in the Jeep or not. I also wave to most Hummers,FJ's, and all types of 4 wheel drives. I get zero waves from Hummers and FJ's, just stares.

I've had my JK for about 2 weeks now, and I have to admit- I thought this "Jeep waive" thing wasn't really happening. Driving around Boston, I passed quite a few other Jeeps, and decided that if anyone waived to me, I'd be ready to reciprocate. Nothing. No biggie, I'd never been a part of the Jeep waive before, I thought- I don't need it.

Then, I drove up to the Vermont mountains with my girlfriend and dog for Easter weekend (her fam), and I got several waives, which I happily returned. I'm an unabashed waiver now. I dig it.

I wave in my Jeep, return most unless my head is in my A$$.

I too catch myself waving from my work vehicle.

I wave like a fool at all the other Jeeps. Get returns from those with a clue. For the others, I forgive their ignorance and hope my waving will aid their education. When I'm driving something else, I NEVER wave because I know, to the bottom of my soul, that I'm NOT driving a Jeep -- the slant of the windshield, the location of the instrumentation, the driving position. It's just not a JK, and for me the urge to wave isn't there.

I've found here in Jackson Hole that there are a lot of wealthy people who drive Jeeps and are often driven by a lady with a cell phone ignoring the world, or a High School kid impressing his friends. There are very few waves returned or even noticed. But as soon as we drive any back road it seems like everyone waves no matter what kind of vehicle we or they are driving. Maybe the back roads are driven mostly by local residents who wave to be polite to friends and neighbors. If we are on a back road it is likely we live here and are not strangers so everyone waves. Nice!
