.....between a tow hook and a trailer hitch:





Just saw this at a local used car lot....I've never seen this combination before, have you?

What's funny is that you can't even use the tow hook, there's no room to slip a strap between it and the hitch....

Looks like a poorly thought out mod to a factory tow hook.The wiring looks pretty rough too....

My first mod to that would be to remove it. I'm scared just looking at that (and the wiring).

I guess some cheap bastard got bored and decided to make his own hitch....I wouldn't trust a hot dog cart on that thing....LOL.

why not just get the tow hook that fits a 2" reciever hitch

I just switch mine out when I go on the trails. I like this model because it doesn't hang down. Got it at Tractor Supply.

I've got the big one! It's rated at 12,000 Lbs so it's more that strong enough and I figure that if anyone rear-ends me I might freak out and floor it resulting in the loss of their whole front end
