Thinking of buying my 1st jeep?

Thanks for the replies, I wanted to keep my ram but it's been back at the dealer for work more than i've had it:
Both front wheel bearings went on it and i think the LF is going again, steering box took a dump on it and the lines have been replaced 2x's, blew the seal on the nose of rear end, EGR valve went, sway arms bushings rotted, all before 60k miles. Oh, and the bed fenders have the rotted through and is going to cost almost half the value of the the truck to fix it. Right now it's getting under 12.7mpg, but at it's best it gets 13.7mpg. I'd rather have payment then worry about if it's going to let me down again costing me a repair bill and lost wages.

I to hate my dodge RAM! 14mpg if I'm lucky! It's an 05 with 50,000 on it and still has a ton of huge problems.(all fixed under warranty thank god) It's getting the trade in treatment for a jk as soon as I find the one I want.

There are many here that will poo-poo CAI, but many here have them and love them. If you plan on doing a lot of deep water crossings you may want to stay away form them and just go for a snorkel. I have an Airaid and Superchips flashpaq, but not the exhaust, and even that made a pretty noticeable difference....(I really can tell when I set mine back to the stock settings). I also get around 20+ mpg with my 2dr auto and for the most part am happy with the added power, as my muscle car speed days are long gone. It's been said that the "trio"....CAI, Flashpaq, and exhaust are the way to go.
