Hey, I think that's awesome. A loaded up Rubi goes for appx. $41 MSRP with an invoice price of $38. If you were able to get it for $33.5 or 12% under invoice, that's a great deal. It would be helpful if the guys who got these great deals could post up their blacked out sales orders so that others could use them as leverage in negotiating their deals. It's much easier to show a salesman an actual transaction than to say some guy on the forum said he got $7,500 off.

Good call - I'm game. If it'll help someone negotiate let me know, and I'll try to post mine. I bought a 2011 Rubicon Unlimited with just a couple of basic options for $31,500 (invoice was right at $2k more) and got the 0% for 60 months financing deal.

Alright.... So after much consideration I decided to pass on the 2011 Rubicon that I drove yesterday.
Despite it being a solid deal, I decided that I want to stick with an automatic transmission and as such I might as well wait 3 weeks to check out the new stuff.
The deal I had brokered is roughly as follows:
'11 Rubicon (Manual, Dual Top, Nav, Tow, auto a/c, side airbags)
MSRP $37,455, Supplier Price $34829
Dealer offered me $27k for my '10 Sport as is with lift, tires, etc. They over allowed on my trade to compensate for not going $2k under sticker. Average wholesale on the sports right now is about $24k.
With incentives and my equity i was OTD for $30k @ 0% with $0 cash.

On the relative trade in value associated with a different engine, I recall when the powerstokes came out, and all the contractors and truck jockeys had to have it. For a short time, they did bring significantly more. But after a couple years, the value resorted back to the basic features of year, mileage, and body style. Look at other examples, like say the 70's CJ5. A V8 is/was more desirable than a I6, but it only made a 5-10% difference in resell. It really doesn't make any difference now, as the other factors take over - condition and mileage. Its my speculation, but I think when the new body style comes out in a few more years, there will be no difference in trade in value (2011vs2012) based on the engine difference.
