Studded winter tires?

Does anyone know about which company manufactures winter tires that have like some type of minerals/rocks/diamonds embedded in the tread of the tire. Its usually used for ice. I saw it one time in the jeep magazine. Thank ya

Toyo makes some tires that have crushed walnut shell embeded in the rubber tread. A guy that I work with got some of these for his wife's truck and he said they were phenomenal for winter icey roads. I think they are called Microbit tires.

Those tires were called "Green Diamonds" for the carbide chips embedded in them.They were remoulds,very good quality & warrenteed the same as new tires.Cost about 1/3 less.Currently under new ownership,status unknown
