stuck on side of road

no bueno... I know that CAI are easily prone to sucking water, hopefully if it did ingest water, it was not much. You'll want to change your oil, pull your spark plugs to see if and how wet they are, and blow the water out. I'm sure someone will chime in here though that can give you better details than myself. Good luck

Air filter seemed pretty dry. Airbox was a little wet though. My local guy said he will look at it tomorrow. He is pretty reputable, but thinks that it might have sucked in water. He had another one in January that did the same thing. After 2 months Jeep agreed to replace the engine with a used on. Hopefully its not that bad.
I tried to start it right away but it wouldn't turn over. Close, but not quite.

Worst case scenario you hydro locked the motor. I had a cai on an old car and had quite the scare with it. I swore I'd never get one again. Check filters, plugs, oil and your oxygen sensors. Best of luck.

Unfortunately I doubt Chrysler will replace a motor when there was a CAI involved.
The only thing this sounds like is a hyrdolock. Hopefully it didn't ingest too much water and your guy can get it back running quickly.
Good luck..

Actually, my dealership specifically warned me about this... They said if I installed a cold air intake and got water in my engine it would void the warranty on my engine. Hope it turns out to be something else though.
I wonder if accidentally hitting a huge puddle could be considered an Act of God under insurance?
