That sucks bud, I hope you can spot them also with the lug nuts all my mods get tattooed with the VIN number so if anything happens to my mods I can make them out at a pawn shop and call the cops. And yes I know what some are thinking they can scratch it off. But, I do the inside of the rim and outside. I also do all my tools that way but I use my driver's Lic. #.

That is disgusting! How to ruin a day! You can have several people do nice things for you but the one that haunts you for days or weeks is the prick that does something mean for no reason. I hope Carma took notice of them. Sorry you were a victim. Glad the insurance is helping you out.

Sorry for your loss, maybe with the ins. you can get some bigger tires...

I had locking lugs but I ended up losing the key... I asked around and found that its not all that hard to get the those lugs off.. Even the salesman at the dealership said that people were steeling the tires from the dealership..

What a bummer.
But I've gotta think anyone who can remove four tires from a Jeep stuck up to the frame wouldn't be slowed much by locking lugnuts.

Makes you wonder if it was their sandtrap you stumbled into ... hmmm.

"Hey bubba ... let's just hide here in the tall grass till sombody comes along in a jeep, and bam! git us a new set of tars."

this is why i combien two different sets fo locking nuts on each wheel so i need both keys to sucessfully remove them!

it is extreme but that sort of thing is common here

i came out to the jeep yesterday morning and some scumbag had had a go at either stealing my battery or trying to fuck with the engine sumhow, as the bonnet hood clips were undone and distinct screwdriver marks on the key lock in the grill for it!

great world we live in!

pleased ur insurance is paying out tho

Thats a little harsh. Who's saying we'd have you here in the North East.
We hang thieves in N. Carolina

Forget the locking lugs. They might slow someone down but you can buy a set of sockets that will remove them with no problem. My son lost his key and we went to Advance Auto and they had a set of these sockets, I think they're made to remove rounded off bolts and nuts but they work.

I don't consider North Carolina to be in the Northeast. Do you?

The truth is a little harsh sometimes, isn't it...
