Storage in Passenger side rear taillight!!
I tried searching, as I am SURE I am not the first to figure this out, but there is a ton of room behind the pass taillight!!
I went to change a bad bulb, and was amazed at how much space was in there. It only takes the (two screws closest to the tailgate) to get it off, and I think I am going to replace those two screws with wingnut's for quick access.
So far, I have put things in there that I would rarely need. Folding military shovel, hatchet, spare serpentine belt, and a giant C-clamp (to push caliper pistons back in during pad swap on trail). Still looking for other things that I will rarely need, and that can get wet/damp. The bottom of that cavity has a foam piece that is designed to keep water and debris out, and still let it drain, do be careful how you place stuff in there, and know that it can/will get wet I suspect.
Anyone else done this? Any down sides I am missing?
