Stock Rubi -vs- Hi-Lift

Stock Rubi -vs- Hi-Lift
From what I can see, the bumpers are worthless and the rock rails are questionable when it comes to using the Hi-Lift. I've read a number of conflicting opinions on the use of the Hi-Lift with a stock 2 door Rubi so I want to ask those that have actually used it.
Has anyone lifted a stock 2 door Rubi using a Hi-Lift? If so, where did you place the jack?
I value the Hi-Lift as a piece of recovery gear but I do not see a good place to use it or store it in the new Rubi. Since I'm planning to keep the Rubi stock and do not plan to do any rock crawling - hill climbing - mud diving, I'm debating about even carrying my Hi-Lift. The stock Rubi will get me where I want to go in the desert with no problem.
Opinions?

My Dad bought me one when I got my first truck; a '65 Chevy P/U. I chain-locked it to the spare after cutting a hole in the top of the bed to pass the chain through. I wish I knew what happened to it. It would be a classic today, 35 years old.

get the wheel hooks. i've used mine on the stock rubi rock rails a few times with no problems also. they aren't as thick as aftermarket rails, but they are pretty stout. you don't have to worry about hurting them.

Fine with the stock Rubicon rock rails. It won't cause any damage to the body of JK. If you are worried, use a 2x4 wood block between the rock rail (JK body) and Hi-Kift.
The Lift-Mate works also.
