Default still confused about 33s

I've searched and posted, but I'm still a little confused. Please set me straight on upgrading to 33s:
  1. The stock Sport 17" (7.5"?) wheels will handle them?
  2. Teraflex leveling kit is a good safety precaution absent a suspension lift kit?
  3. Are any type of wheel spacers necessary or does the leveling kit provide clearance enough?
  4. It is a good idea to use a reinforcement kit to take some pressure off the lift gate hinges from the heavier spare?
  5. Do I need to use something (like the AEV procal module) to recalibrate ABS, speedo, etc...?

TIA

I'm running 33's with a 2 inch spacer lift with 16x8 cragar soft 8s no wheel spacers. The spare tire rack didn't get reinforced and seems to be taking the weight well. I know that you can run 33s without a lift and some even run 35s no lift by trimming flares and getting wheel spacers I believe.

Also I didn't need to recalibrate my speedometer. The light will come on for tpms sensor though

Yes.

Yes, but you'll only notice rubbing when off roading. Not really required unless you have a lot of weight up front, or just want it level.

No wheel spacers are needed if you use same width tires as your stock.

The spare isn't really all that much heavier, you should be fine, you might need new spare bumper stops from Daystar. 33 inch is a good size that still retains most of your stock stuff.

I only noticed a 1 MPG difference from my 32 inch to the 33 inch with TF level kit. So a chip isn't required, but if you were to go higher in lift or tires, you will want one.

You can have the tire shop take the sensors out of your stock and use them on the new tires/wheels. That's what I did.

I'll be using 285/70-17 in place of 255/75-17 - 1.5" wider. If I have the Teraflex leveling kit - 2" front; 1" rear - will I need spacers to push the wheels outward a little? [Intuitively, it would feel like I should.]

you dont need to do anything to put 33s on .... look at the stock rubi tires and get something similar. You can fit 35s with just wheel spacers so you wont need to level or raise anything and you stock tire carrier will hold a 33 just fine... mine holds my 35s

You dont need spacers unless you want the tires to stick and it look a little (squatier) always a good idea to test before though just to ensure by turning the front tires completely both ways and seeing they dont hit the control arms... I believe 285 70 17 is about the same size as a stock rubi tire as well

I have 33"s and love em! I have a 3/4" leveling kit in the front and 1.5" wheel spacers on the sahara wheels.

I'm running 33's (305/65/17) on stock 17" wheels. My tires are a little wider than the 285's so the 1.5" wheel spacers are a must have for me. I'm also running the Teraflex leveling kit. This combination is perfect in my opinion for a daily driver. No issues with the weight on the tailgate either. However my the 305 series tire is a tight fit. Any wider & I'd need a spacer behind it.
