Default Standing on the Hard Top

Pretty self explanatory... can the Hardtop take the weight of an individual sitting or standing on it for a prolonged period of time? I weigh about 180lbs. and with the 4th of July coming up, I'm thinking maybe I'll sit on the roof and watch the fireworks...

What do you guys think??

I dont know. I would not feel comfortable doing it. The roof racks I have seen say they can hold 200 pounds, but that is spread out and supported by the racks braces.

Uh, you might wanna just take the top off and look up. I wouldn't chance standing on it if I were a 50lb midget.

I weigh 145 pounds and I sat on it without having the feeling like it will crack or break. I guess you just have to slowly get on it and go with your instincts to see if you can sit/stand on it or not. They seem pretty durable

If it starts to bend or something of that sort, then yeah, it can't support your weight for a long period of time.

As you can imagine, I had some doubts about it as well. Which is why I decided to consult others before I tried it...but hey, if all went to hell, it would have made for some pretty sweet pics!

Don't do it- the roof is only there to support the black paint...

make sure you have video camera set up if you do it

I would just go topless and watch from the seats

this is where Camps Nack Attack would come in handy

Sit toward the center section where the roll bar is, good to go.
