I'll sell you my 2006 GC SRT8, you just gotta take over the payments. I prefer the Wrangler, the only thing I really like about the GC is its roomy, and fun to drive on the freeway. No problem accelerating past people and getting up to speed. The mileage isn't ALL that horrible on the freeway. I hate the blind spots in it though.

400+ HP sports vehicles are an expensive toy, nothing more. IMO so is a heavily modded Wrangler.
They are simply not good entertainment for people who are going to worry about being practical very much. If adrenaline rush addiction is not => cost of ownership, then it is a bad idea from the start.
Pretty sure many high horsepower vehicles with 60K plus will likely have been beat on, because that's what they are created for.

I'd recommend an 08 or newer Trailblazer SS. Nearly identical performance to the SRT8 with more room and you'll carry the remainder of the 5/100k power train warranty. Plus there's a great forum out there for those just like the JK.

Maybe consider a Porsche Cayenne S, I bet you can pick up a 2008 for around $30K with low mileage. I used to have one and they are AWD, fully locked and haul a$$.
The Porsche's are more then likely better kept up then any Chrysler product. Mine had air ride suspension, and was able to put in in 4LO and the suspension would rise 3".
Just another option.

srt8???
having owned 3 srt8s ( chrysler 300, gc, and dodge challenger) and now my 6th jeep ( still have the gc srt8) to compare a jk to a gc set is as foolish as one can get . my srt8 gets the same mileage as my jk and yes it take premium but thats a mere twenty cents a gallon difference. also to say you are going to get a beater with the gc is to ignore the chances of a beater with a jeep. if you want to be safe with a used car by a cadillac from an old person.

I owned an 06 300C SRT8 (love it) I also have an 07 GC SRT8 (love it), I love my 2 Dr Wrangler the only thing I hate is that when I installed the 35's it's a bit slower. I currently have 4:10s (Auto) maybe I have to re-gear. Power wise you can never compare a 3.8 to a 6.1
