Had the soft top only on my TJ and it did the job, defnitely wanted he hardtop this time and glad I got it. I had the top off completely most of the summer so it really didn't matter much from that standpoint. For some reason I think the JK looks better with the hardtop than the softtop as well.

Got the hardtop with mine, initially. First summer out I got a safari top--and that's my favorite. But, just a couple months ago I got the softtop (too cold for the no doors thing for me!). After I first put it on, I recall thinking it looks so much more like a Jeep should with the softtop, than with the hardtop.

Bought mine with only the hardtop, but picked up a softtop from someone locally after about a month. Built a nice shelf in my garage to store the hardtop until Winter.

Hardtop is still on the shelf.

I have to vote for the hard top, i like being able to take the freedom panels off and have like an extra large sunroof effect. The soft top just doesnt do it for me

I only use the hard top for longer trips, as stated before, a lot has to do with security. winter where I live is not bad at all, so I can run either one all year.

You need that freedom top panel to come off, for head room
