I have around 2000 miles on mine now. The computer says that I'm getting 22.0 to 22.5 per gallon. By my calculations I'm getting a solid 21.5 per gallon. That's 3.5 per gallon better than my S-10 Blazer that I had.

I can tell you from experience that the top being down on my TJ made a huge difference with the 4 banger. As in, close to 25% at 80mph. I put the duster on it, and it helped a little, but not much. Not until I put the bikini on did it get close to the mileage with the top on. No top=tons of turbulence.

yea it's a old thread but what the hell...

if I wanted something good on gas I'd have gotten some crapy hybrid car or something.

according to the dash readout I'm getting 11.? mpg don't know what I'm actualy getting since I'm running 35's but honestly I don't care....

Am I the only one surprised that with A.) Not huge but noticeably improved Aerodynamics and B.) Damn near foil thickness Sheet metal that Mpg. isn't a little better? Maybe it's all the electronic crap, my 84 CJ had sheet metal thickness of a Tank.
