You will be able to run 37s. But I would beef up your front axle... if not your more than likely going to break something if you do any mild wheeling

The Mopar 44 is just a dana 30 with a diffrent housing from what i have read. So yes, you will still want to beef if running 37's. You are going to want C Gussets, and mabey some Axle sleeves. Without these you could still run 37's but i wouldnt wheel it and would still be scared to even drive it on the street. 37's are alot of weight on these weak axles. Anything more than that and i would just start saving for a ProRock 44 up front.. and tehn buy the new axle, lift and tires all at once.. Hope that helps

Yes you can run 37's with that 4" kit. TeraFlex has a replacement Tera44 front axle housing now. http://www.teraflex.biz/news/tech_Dana_44/

couple of qs....

1) if it is a d30 why call it a 44? and follow up, what is different about front and rear 44.

2) why is a 37 so much more worrisome than a 35 inch tire?

thanks guys. this forum is an endless resource of info.

Can you use 37's with your stock d44? yes you can. Is there more chance that you will break something? yes there is. There are people with d30's that have run 37's and have no problems for a while, and then there are guys with d44's and 35's that have problems eventually.

Short story... You can do 37's with a 4" lift and flat fenders on your stock axles but be prepared for other big expenses down the road.
