SO F'ing Pissed Off
Well hear is the update on brake issue. Went in to dealership this past saturday what they said was the problem was the wheel bearings on both left and right front needed to be lubed. Well as I drove it today after a whopping 15 mins. the same scratching noise came from the both right and left front wheels. WTF I still think someting is not releasing when the brakes are unapplied. Also the whistling noise coming form the engine at around 2000 rpm's could also not be explained however the dealership test drove another one and said the other did it as well so it's not a cause of the CAI.......which i already knew seeing how the noise did it before install....The discs on the front are still smooth however there seems to be a ton of scratches on them in no uniform pattern....Plse if anyone knows what this might be plse help me I love this jeep but it's just pissing me off.

My engine never whistled until I put the Airaid on. Now it has a very distinct wistle at 1500-1800 RPM. As for your brakes, can't help. I wouldn't leave the dealer until it was fixed though.

this may help or not but we had a recall on our Odyssey, because one batch of brakes used on a number of vans made were "harder" and when hot these would break up into particles big enough to scour the discs and make a horrible noise when hot.
The dealer replaced these and the problem went away, soon after we traded it for our Rubi.......I'm not sure about the "whistle" as I can not make the Rubi whistle even at high RPMS before and after we installed the CAI.....but be persistent with your demands at the dealer, don't take "it's normal" for an answer.....say....let's go out for a road test on another "similar" vehicle as yours, it pays off in th long run....good luck.
