Smoking deal on a NEW 2010 Rubicon
Alright, here's the skinny. I normally don't care to pick up leftover vehicles, because most of the time, the dealers don't budge enough on the pricing of them. But in this instance, I was inquiring on deals with 2011 Rubicons and long behold, a 2010 model came on the lot next day. Without haggling or talking about it, he told me his manager is unloading it for 28000 (27500 with my military rebate). It's sticker is 34450. That's a savings of 7000 if my math is right. They came within 600 bucks of NADA clean trade value on my vehicle sight unseen over the phone. Are they reasonable with that amount off and trade valuation? Or is there more room to wiggle? I know it's worth trying, and I will if I desire to get the vehicle. Only thing that's killing me is it has the dual top group and I don't want both damn tops. Another thing to note, is they installed some pre powered Kicker subwoofer in the rear as part of the vehicle as well, and won't be charging me for that. Would you pass or go for it? Any problems I should know about 2010 Rubicon editions with an Automatic tranny?

I have a 2010 Rubi 4 door and it is sweet. Paid 30K for it. Sounds like a good deal you have there if it is new and no miles. Have had no problems so far with mine.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. I would still try to haggle them down a little but thats just me, its pretty low already. The worst that can happen is they dont budge and you can still get it at the offered price. I have seen another new 2010 white 2dr rubi online somewhere for about 27000~28000.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Go ahead and tell them you want it for 27000, afterall it is a 2010 and the 2012s will be coming out in 4 months. As for the dual tops that really is a nice option and you can always sell the one you don't want if you really just want to have one top.
If they won't budge on the price ask him to get you a dozen oil changes or something or have him get you a mopar winch bumper for free or for a much lower price than normal. Never know what you might get and doesn't hurt to ask.

after working at a dealership...never take the first deal. there is always room to wiggle.
you could probably get it below $27000.
bottom line is they want to sell you the Jeep, but unless you signed papers on it today...it may be gone tomorrow while you are sleeping on it. Just get in there and keep pecking away at them. If they meet your requests then ask for a little more off. Also if they won't come down on price then peck at them on finance rate. If your credit is great then you should have no problem getting in the 3% range.
Just make sure you are in control. sounds like a great jeep!

good deal
It's new, and is the same color as yours, but a well equipped 2 door instead of 4 doors. Here's the options (I can remember):
Red Rock paint and gunmetal wheels
Remote start
Power equipment group
Deep tint windows
Dual tops
Side airbags
6 CD changer
Smokers group
Block Heater
Automatic
Tow hitch
And they added the Kicker 10 inch subwoofer (the wrangler specific one).
