I have the slightly bigger XRC10 winch, but install was pretty easy. Your bumper will determine how easy it is to install however.

I have a mile marker sec8 scout...and the RR XHD bumper. It wasn't too hard to install. A couple of the bolts are hard to get to and required a box wrench instead of sockets. But overall not bad.

I have the Smittybilt SRC bumper and getting the rear two boots in we're tough due to the angle... Until I borrowed my neighbors elbow socket and it made short work of it. Enjoy!

I have the Smittybilt X20 12K

So winch is on. Took a couple hours but not too hard, had to drill two holes on the one part of the bracket due to my bullbar.

Mine is ok. Noisy and slow but works ok. I currently can't get it to go into free spool. It is stuck. Needs oiled. I have had it through some rough times though. Since it is a cheaper model you should do your best to keep it oiled and clean. Had I done so I would probably not have any issues. I am not a fan of covers but if you are just using them when wheeling I think they are ok.

Just curious if there is any parts list with the new winch paperwork? Some guys on another thread as searching for new contactors and a google search isn't pulling anything up.

I don't know. The paperworks somewhere. If you contact smittybilt they should be able to help.
