smittybilt bumper tow rating?
Does anyone know if Smittybilt's XRC rear bumper is tow rated? I've looked at a few vendors' websites and there's no mention of it.
I would like to replace my rear bumper but I need to keep a hitch to tow a small trailer (2k lbs).

I called Smittybilt. Ray in customer service told me (and confirmed with another person) that yes, the hitch is designed to replace the factory hitch and you are able to tow with it.
Hopefully this helps some of you out in case you have the same question down the road.

I understand that these bumpers are being made in China these days. Makes me wonder about the quality of the welds. If anyone has heard different ,I would like to know

On a related note 4wd.com is having a pretty decent sale on the smitty bumpers.
The XRC rear w/ tire carrier can be shipped for ~$776 vs $899+s/h retail.
