Default Slow leak fix

My aluminum rims are beat up pretty bad. I noticed one rim with a slow leak right where the rim meets the bead. I can see the rim is bent out slightly for maybe a 2" span and can hear the air escaping. I was thinking of using a 2x4 and a few hits with the BFH might do the trick. Any suggestions ?

I'd try it. The rims not seating now so what's the worst that can happen? The problem with aluminum wheels is that they will break. I'd start looking for a set of steel wheels for the future. Good luck.

Let me help. Go to discount tire and they can use this tool to straighten the rim. After that they will put bead sealer on and that should fix it. Using a 2x4 can make it worse. Just my .2

Once you get that rim fixed you may want to make it the designated spare. I have a tire that I use as a spare only. It will get me out of trouble, but that's all it's for.
Just a thought.....

Dropped it off at my local tire guy. He is going to try and fix it. If he can ill keep it as the spare as mentioned.

Had to order a new rim as it was more $ to repair the damaged one then to buy a new one.
