That would have absolutely earned a ridiculously loud and boisterous laugh in his face and continue to do so in tears. Then when you get the "Look" ........ you know that blank 
kind of stare, quickly just calm down and say "Oh you were serious .. I'M sorry" then EXPLODE in laughter

I ran into a Hummer owner a while back at the local hardware store. He came out and said he really liked my Jeep and started asking a bunch of questions about it. Just to be nice I said I thought his H3 was pretty cool too. His response....."Well, it was cool back in '04."

I don't think the Hummer guy was trying to be funny. He had a condescending attitude, and when I made the remark about pulling out the H1, he just gave me a blank stare and walked off. I think he was jealous because the weather was nice and all of the Jeeps in our club had our doors and tops off and his Hummer couldn't do that.
A couple of weeks ago a group of us were at an event at an ORV park, and before everyone moved out on to the trails there was a group of about 8 to 10 Hummers. The only other time we saw them the rest of the day was lined up in a large open area with their owners nowhere in sight. I just figured they decided their bulky Hummers were too big to make it through the tight trails so they abandoned them and decided to just walk for the rest of the day.

the correct response towards a condescending dick is a look of disdain and a hearty "what the f&@k EVER! this usually has the desired result of briefly confusing the dick and leaving him unable to retort before you show him your heels and walk away in disgust leaving the dick to wonder why his dickness did not fluster you in the least

I still don't understand the hatered, to each his own, what one person is looking for isn't what another is, stop the haters. I would like to think Jeep owners are above the ignorance.
