Default Sky jacker

I just came across the 4 inch sky jacket lift that's on sale, im almost convinced... What do you guys think? Is this a good deal? It's 10% off from it's original 615 or so... Is a 4 inch lift too much?

Personally I wouldnt run a skyjacker lift. Many people end up replacing it with a better and more complete lift. My advice to you is if you can pay more on a better lift such as Teraflex, rockrawler, currie, fulltraction, etc. I would go with the Teraflex 2.5 lift and Teraflex lifts are known for running an inch above advertised height in order to compensate for heavy bumpers and winch.

I think everyone has an opinion.

If this is in your budget go for it. Four inches is enough for 35 or 37 in tires. I run a more expensive brand but what skyjacker offers is a good value for the money.

Popular brands aren't necessarily the best brand. Check out what joints are offered and what else you'll need to find the total price. Then see if the lift is still within your budget.

I had a $3k sky jacker long arm suspension in my TJ. It was junk, it fell apart and it was a street queen never wheeled( no lockers). SJ customer service could care less the the welds on the brackets holding my control arms on broke apart... The material quality was junk, the powder coat flakes off quick and then rusted, and the ride was really bad. I actually got rid of the jeep just to get away from how bad it drove. Now I have a JK and will be lifting it with a better lift. Good luck in your search for a lift.

Edit: also the 8 heim joints seized up and rusted out, there was no grease fitting and they were not rebuildable. Just something to look forward to.

Here is a pic of the jeep after I repainted the whole lift. Looks sharp but rode like crap.
