Show me your warn winch covers
I'm thinking about getting a warn winch cover for my m8000 and wondering what people think about them. My winch is flush with the bumper in the front so I'm wondering if I could even get one to work on mine. But I did notice that they seem to have a bungie cord built into it?
Post up some pics and let me know your opinions!
Thanks

I have to go through a ton of pics. I have seen the factory Warn covers. than there was some guy (back in 08 I think) that was making custom covers that were made out of a ripstop/ cordura type material. He used to sell them on ebay. not sur eif he's around anymore.
The covers are ok to keep UV rays off your synth line, but outside of that, road grime and trails debris get in there still. the neoprene ones I have seen look purple after one summer. yuck.
I'd go to a boat shop or something like that and just get one made. shouldn;t be more than $50 or so for something custom like that. downfall is I'm sure they would need your rig with the winch mounted to make them fit well.

I'm on my second one. It, like the first is fading and drying - takes 6 to 12 months. (heck, here, car covers barely last 2 years) I ordered 2 this last time !! (it's the Warn neoprene one) Even though the cover fades, it really helps the winch and, more importantly, the synth cable stay like new.
