Should lack of the Trac-Lok LSD be a deal-breaker?

JKinTN = I assume that means he is in Tennessee somewhere.
I am in middle TN (Nashville area). We have several dealers to choose from but limited inventory of remaining '07s in what I want.

Does the 5-Star dealership actually mean anything? We have one that isn't 5-star here. People seem easier to work with but wasn't sure exactly what that designation means as far as service after the sale.

5 Star dealership is merely a slogan...seems 99.999% of Jeep dealerships are 5-Star...and usually they know less about factory recalls or ongoing issues than we do.

I have the LSD, and have found it to be a slight help offroad... I'm glad that I got it, but I could live without it... get the '07 and enjoy the 4.10 gearing!

I wasn't trying to discount th offroad value of a limited slip, but like MJS says the difference should be slight.(Compared to brake traction system) It's a more efficient way to keep both wheels on an axle spinning untill the clutch pack starts slipping. Then the Brake assisted traction will still kick in.

I've met and wheeled with the service manager at one of the Nashville dealers but I forgot what one. He has a Jeep Green Unlimited Sahara with a 4" lift 35's and electronic lockers front & rear.
I told him about this site but I don't think he ever joined. He is on the MSJ forums but doesn't post there alot either.

What specificly are you looking for? I can check at Gossett and see what they have in stock, Maybe they have what you want. If so you don't have to live in Memphis to join the MSJ club and get the discount. We have members as far as Knoxville.
