Default Should I buy an 07 JK?

I currently have a 96 ZJ with over 110K miles. I was thinking of buying a 2DR 07 JK. However, after reading the Jeep JK TSB & Recalls section of this website and all the user posts about various problems including stalling, roof leaking, doors not closing properly, horns honking with nobody in the vehicle, pieces breaking off the soft top during removal, AC making grinding noises when first turned on, rear seats almost impossible to get into because the fronts seats no longer retract out of the way, underpowered engines, etc... I am really starting to question the quality/design of this new Wrangler. I'd like to believe these are all small bugs and once fixed the JK is great. I really want to be convinced that I should still buy one. Any thoughts?

I think that most of those problems were from the first JKs off the line. I bought mine 2 months ago and have had no problems at all. Maybee I am an odity , but I say buy it if you can find one that you like!

Good luck,

AK

At this point, if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't do it. I'd wait until a newer, updated model came out. This thing feels underpowered, especially compared to the 4.0L in the city. On the highway, it does pretty decent I guess. I would wait it out if you're interested in a diesel model. If you know you're going to get a gas model, I suppose you'd be OK to get the current one since the 08 isn't different...

I have to agree, I bought mine in June and have had absolutely Zero problems. Most of the issues as stated were the early ones off the line. You can look at the build date on the Jeep and know how long it has been out there and if it may be affected by any of the early issues. Good luck!!!!
