Default Shipping to Canada

just wondering if any one knows exactly what is charged at the border when getting parts shiped to canada. getting ready to order lift/tires/rims and the prices are good in the US but wondering what im going to get hit with at the border. thanks in advance

Give stan a call @ www.northridge4x4.ca he will get you a great deal ship it for free and you will not be charged any duties.

all depends what method they are shipped by. If it is shipped by UPS be prepared to get hit pretty hard.

wow thats alot. yah i called stan he quoted me a great price on a lift. but i need rims and tires to !

ups is 50$ of broker border fee + normal tps, I prefer usps but seriously shop around you can have great price

Glad to hear you got a good deal on the lift. For tires and rims you're going to be paying big $$ to ship them over. I found the cheapest "all in" price at a Fountain Tire, Pro-Comp rims and Tires.

that does help! its mostly the rims i need( procomp 8179)mind me asking what they charged per rim? i cant seem to find it on thier site. got a quote from discount tire for around 1360 for 4 KM2's they say all shiping and fee's are included. true? or am i going to get nailed at the border, any canadian's order from them?

the supplier has nothing to do with the fee at the border. so yes you will get nailed at the border for about 40% of your total bill.

Ok, not related but you reminded me of this...

At work we were assembling a huge mobile crane and were waiting for one of the tracks to arrive that was being shipped via Canada.
Turns out somebody left a scrap of wood in the shipping container with the track, so the whole thing was held in quarantine indefinately in case of any invasive organics. Caused some VERY expensive delays.

What a PITA!!!
