Default Service manual

I am thinking of getting a copy of the 2008 service manual. The CD version is $120 through the Jeep.com site. I also see it for $60 (on CD) through servicerepairmanuals.com (I hope it is identical)

Anyone have thoughts or suggestions? good/bad experiences? please let me know.

thanks

(I also see the hard copy on Jeep.com for $320; on ebay for $225 but I think I'll go CD a save a few bucks.)

I was wondering this myself. I'd rather pay $60 then $120

The CD is very handy for looking things up. As a reference source, it's very good.
The paper copy is what goes to the barn when actually working on the Jeep. It's much more durable and handy on the job site.

The CD is the way to go - the place to buy it is from the source, here: techauthority.com. I'd be willing to bet the other place is selling illegal copies.

I wondered about bootleg copies, too. But the servicerepairmanuals.com site appears to have quite a selection Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler manuals (that's all they sell) up through 2008.

I know there are a lot of scams on the internet but I didn't get that feeling... (but I suppose anyone who was scammed didn't get that feeling either....!)

Thought I would check with the forum to see if anyone had used them before.

Thanks.

Nope. Talking about the service manual. The one that your Mopar tech would use to service the vehicle. It is much more detailed than the owner's manual.

Good find I think i'd take a chance with $18. Let us know if it's legit. I don't know if the price will come down as the manual gets older? Does anyone know?
