Excellent point. This never would have happened with the 3.8.

Seemed to me the guy thought he was the all mighty holy spotter. Agree awful advice as that could have been easily been conquered when dropping in the dip with a couple bumps of the throttle keeping the momentum. I don't know why people think they need to go balls to the wall acceleration when 4-wheeling.

I know it seems funny but rolling your vehichle is a serious matter... sure his insurance may cover this but it's a pain to replace your vehicle and of course they'll probably drop his coverage. It may be difficult for him to get affordable coverage afterwards.

It seems like the windshield is a huge weak link on the Jeep. Check out these pics of my Jeep after being rolled by a driver who blew a red light.

Yeah but I'm pretty sure he still had the pedal to the floor which isn't smart in the first place

Think of the windshield another way, it stayed intact long enough during your accident and thankfully you are still here. Probably a manufacturers design balance between many variables and the odds of a rollover vs side, front, rear collision. Any vehicle windshield would look like crap after a rollover...the important thing is how many rolls (odds of 1 vs 2 vs 3 rolls onto the top) can it stay or crush in the right direction to protect the occupants.
