Yep I have some of the wider velcro ones that I dont use anymore. Figured if I use 2-3 of them on each side then that might work

Free solution to the doors off flapping (that is if you work in or near an Operating Room)
Folded OR towel and a large binder clip. Keeps the flapping to a minimum and comes in handy for spills, blood etc. Who doesn't need another place to store a rag?
My problem with the seat belt cushion idea, is that they would not allow the seat belt to retract cleanly. This was my biggest problem. The folded towel will allow the seat belt to slide freely enough to work as normal.

I went to Walmart and picked up a roll of velcro and wrapped it around the column and the seat belt right above where the plastic ends on the column. It helped for the flapping with the windows down. Not so much when you have the doors off but then i just tucked it on the handle that adjusts the seat back.
