Yesterday, on I-59 outside of Vance, Alabama, I saw a couple of Unlimiteds with manufacturer plates. On the black one, I am not sure what they had done to it other than it was pretty much blacked out and looking good. It just seemed like a nice aftermarket built Jeep... but I hadn't noticed the manufacturer plates yet. The second one, was a dark anthracite color that I thought was black at first. It had rear leaf springs. It looked like a fairly heavy spring pack. Also, it sounded like it might have had a diesel, a bit of turbo whine and rattle. I can't swear to it having a diesel, but it did have a large diameter exhaust axiting the driver's side. Now if only my Nextel had a camera...

 

Sounds like the ones they build for the Israeli military.
