Saharas = Mall Crawlers?
#622
No offense to the guys and gals who use their Saharas for offroading and doing the JK name proud (you're definitely excluded from this generalization), but I can't help but think that the Sahara and it's matching colored hard-top, fenders and chromed out bumper accents were just MADE for the soccer moms and I-ain't-into-that-Jeep-culture-thingy people out there? Hey have to keep the brand profitable, right?

Several of my Michigan and Ohio buddies crawling their Saharas at our local Michigan "mall". Parking sucked. No parking dividers and no lines. And all that was on sale was mud.
(thanks to smevans for the awesome pics!)

Thanks! . . . . the terrain around the Raceway Mall in Freehold, NJ can be pretty rough sometimes . . .
One of the really great things about Jeep is that they have a little something for everyone . . . from a basic 16" wheel machine that you can build on, all the way to the dedicated off-road Rubicon!
I love my Sahara . . . heated seats, shiny fenders and all!
I'm not at all sorry (or ashamed) that I bought it.
All best, and Merry Christmas,
Joe

It comes down to what U want. I didn't want power windows, seats or door locks with switches that will burn out and fry in the rain. I did't want fancy leather seats that will crack in the sun. I am not upgrading for a radio. I wanted a soft top not a hard top. The Sport fit what I wanted. I don't drool over Saharas or Rubicons although Lockers would be nice. And it rides better that the TJs and definitlely the YJs. It comes down to the love of the Jeep and if you snub your nose or a name or a badge, then you are a snobby piece of sh!t. Go buy a BMW.

Personally I like Sahara's.
As you get older you appreciate some of the creature comforts more.
I don't care for the color matched tops, but do like the fenders on most colors.
I see nothing wrong with buying a Sahara and doing whatever the hell you want with it. It's your JeeP F what anyone else thinks.

It's a stereotype, much like how all Phillies fans are regarded as obnoxious assholes, bmw owners are lumped into their own group of assholes by car enthusiasts. w w w.jalopnik.com/5869734/secret-document-reveals-why-bmw-drivers-are-asshats
