The sales manager where I bought my Jeep just got a 4door Rubicon fully loaded with Mygig (lucky bastard!) and some lady did not want the Sahara fenders on her Sahara (WTF?!?!) So he traded her... painted them to match his Ruby and whallla... You should be able to buy the fenders from DC (with mucho dinero)... or ask a body shop to do so... or, God forbid, get some off a wrecked Sahara!

AAArrggh! Why?! You will rue the day you chose painted fenders. The stock Rubi fenders bend and pop back very nicely when you are hugging rocks and trees. I hate to imagine what mine would look like if I had to worry about paint!

??? rue the day?
No.
I love my painted flares. I have them scratched up nicely so they blend with the interior. I have bent the crap out of them, they pop back just the same, no paint cracks (yet) i am sure they are coming, but so?
My plans for my next Jeep are for a Rubi. I wont be swapping the flares out for painted, that just isnt what a rubi is, but i still like them scratches or not.
No rueing involved.

That's what I thought too. Another reason why I really like the X.
