I took care of the recall a couple of days ago. Before that the brakes were fine. Today when going to work it acted up. It acted as almost the brakes were skidding and it took a while to stop. Then when I started moving again on first gear it took off very roughly then smoothed out on the second. Is anyone elses doing this after the dealership "fix"????

Mine took about 45 minutes..
I have no paper trail to prove it was done, but I guess they have it in the computer somewhere.

No problems before.
No problems after.

Well I have the workorder receipt because they changed the sealants on the hard top, and it says in there G40 recall performed but it wasn't doing it before and it shouldn't begin to do it now

I had the dealership order me new clips for the soft top since I'm going in.
I just got this done today. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. They didn't even pull it in the shop. They just brought out the StarScan computer and did the deed. I had them check the tire and gear sizes, because last time I was in we (the service manager and me) were messing around with the program to see if we could find a way to set things to a specific tire or gear ratio (this was before the Accu Pro came out). I noticed a power drop after I left that time. Sure enough we had left it at 225 for the tires. It sure was a seat of the pants effect when I left tonight.

Default ruby owners be warned.

Today I took my ruby in to Farris Jeep in Fairfax. It took 9 hours to have the brake controller replaced as the recall wiped the controller out and would not load. Part is on back order so I was told that it would be between 2 to 3 weeks to get it back. What the hell. I was told that the recall works on most vechiels but some controller just don't take. They refused to complete the recall because it would lock up again.

The dealer took another one off a new jeep and got me on the road. I think I found my service department.

The reason I'm posting this is to warn others with Rubys. A replacement controller is on back order. SO before you take yours in make sure that the controller is available if it blanks out.

Any way I hope this doesn't get removed but anyone who wants a jeep frendly dealer check out Farris in Fairfax, VA.

Yikes. I'm glad that didn't happen to me this afternoon.

got both my G40 and G25 (stall issue) recalls done this morning. Mall of GA Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep in georiga. TOP NOTCH service. I got there at 8:15, no appointment, about 5 cars ahead of me for stuff and i was on the road by 9:30. While waiting i inquired about a Jeep Compass (my girlfriend is going to get one) and they tossed me the keys and said go drive it and we will call you when your Jeep is ready. So i drove around about 25 minutes by myself. Went back, talked to the sales manager, got some info on it and was on my way.
