BUT, you gotta leave the window open to "slam" the dealers!:toung:
Sales or Service, I've never had a good experience! I don't know why its always a war, but I promise I've never started it...
I've also never lost!

If you listen to all of the complaint on the board what impression wuold you walk away with.
1. The salesmen are thieves and idiots.
2. The service technicians are incompetent
3. the folks in the factory are incompetent
4. the jeep will leak
5. gas mileage sucks
6. It will spend more time in the shop than on the road.
7. It may catch on fire
8. MyGig has too many problems
On the positive side
1. Its not an H3
2. Its not an FJ
3. Looks cool when covered with mud.
4. Its a Jeep
People must wonder why we buy them; I guess it’s a Jeep thing

I bought my first new Jeep in 1991 (cherokee). I still have it with over 289,000 miles on it and few problems. Still has original motor and transmission. I bought a 2002 Wrangler TJ and loved it, few problems. Now I bought the JK and it has been nothing but trouble. I too have always loved Jeeps and expected a few hick-ups with a new year model. I did not expect serious safety issues nor did I expect so many other problems which Chrysler cannot fix. I also did not expect the attitude Chrysler is taking over the situation. The dealer on the other hand has been great. Trashing Jeep is not why I have posted negative threads about the JK. I do think people should know about the inherit problems many of us are having and hopeful we can help each other to get the situation fixed. Already info I have recieved from this board has helped the dealer at least have a clue as to how to repair some of the problems. Chrysler is not helping them much.

RFid=stall bug? or something
Good News!!...although the dealership has made my expirience less and less pleasureable my jeep is fixed..and you would be amazed what it was..My gym has a pass key that has an RF transponder reciever code that exactly matched my jeep code for recieving..but when it transmitted they both answered with two diferent codes making my jeep believe the car was to shut down...the odds of this are 1 in about 1 trilion..but it happened..lol...after all this i finally get it back..thank you everyone for your support and comments

Aub, I gotta ask, did you quit your gym? Or was the dealer able to make the JK compatible with the gym RFID.
If I had to pick, the Jeep would definitely won over the gym!
For the record, I've had a good experience with dealer, and I would have claimed no probs with Jeep (until I started getting alternator/check engine light this week).
It does make my jaw drop to see them on sale for $16K here when I paid $24 a year and a half a go!!! (but I wouldn't give up that year of Jeeping, minus deployment of course)
As for my battery prob, I haven't run the diagnostic yet to try and figure it out. I've got a Unichip, and I've wired in light, winch, CB, and in-cab winch control so it could be me. It still starts everytime, just gives that second ding, .
Anyway, glad that it worked out, Aub.

The Jeep dealership up here is full of jerks too. I almost punched the guy that sells the extra warranty and lifetime oil changes. I only bought from them because there isn't another dealer within 2000 miles. Luckily I haven't had anything break down.
