Default Sad Story

OK. So I was going up to Lowes today and I witnessed the saddest sight I've seen in a while.
I was at a light and this guy pulled up on my right with a Honda Odyessy minivan. I noticed his wife sitting next to him and his window was down. Now he had stopped a bit in front of me so he was even with my front tire. He glanced over and stared at my tires, wheels, front end.

For a brief moment, he was out there in the woods. In the mud. Water was spraying over the hood. Climbing rocks with nothing but sky out the front window! He was 4-wheeling man!! Then the sad thing happened. I saw a very melancholy look in his eyes. Just before the light changed, his eyes and head dropped down and a look of sadness came across his face. Yeah, he was brought back down to his minivan. The light changed and he was gone.

I hope that man gets a Jeep someday

LOL! you just described my buddy a couple years back: granted this aint a jeep story but close.

He sold off his toyota 4X4 to buy....you guessed it- a mini van. First deer season rolls around and ya' could see the horror and sadness in his eyes: he stumpled through making the most of it wheelin' with me in my truck: ALL to be LOWERED even more when he tells me at the end of the season that he and his wife were buying a SECOND mini-van.

But there is a somewhat of a happy ending: he later got a truck, then a newer one: had a quad for a while, now has a **in process* samurai build up going but keeps eyeing jeeps & his neigbor aint helping by offering a pumped out one to him for $7500.

I think its just a matter of time until he joins us on the dark side

Reminds me of how my DH and I felt waiting 7 months for our Rubi. But it had a happy ending.

I made a vow to myself when I was 18. I will never ever get a minivan. I will probably never get a 4 door sedan either.
