Default Rubicon X

Anyone know how long they will offer the Rubicon X package? I am in Afghanistan and plan to put one on order when I return in June 14.

Are you out of Fort Carson? I'm in Germany now, but I deployed last year to RC East with 4/4. Always good to see brothers in arms on the Jeep forums

So, back to the topic. I just put down an order for an X at ENCS. Mine isn't supposed to even get here until April or May, so your chances are pretty good. However, I don't know exactly when their run of X's will end.

If you have access to ENCS on your FOB you may as well stop by and talk to them. I got a really good deal from those guys, and I know that if you order one while you are deployed they will hold it for you until you get home and then deliver it straight to you. Might be worth your while, and you will know for sure you got one.

Yeah, I am stationed at Carson. I spent my first 3 years in the Army up in Giessen, Germany (now closed). I got a quote from the ENCS guys here on the FOB before I took my mid-tour leave. I took that quote to the dealer in Colorado who assured my they could beat the price and add a lift plus tires before delivery. I may have my wife order it in April and have it ready when I get there Drink a Hefe for the boys out here!

There seem to be quite a few Rubicon Xs available right now (at least in New England) which tells me they aren't selling that well. You may very well be able to pick one up in June at a good discount at the end of the model year.

Funny. My dad was stationed at Spangdahlem AFB in 1966/7. We lived in Dudeldorf when I was 4 and 5. I was one of three boys and all of us were tow heads. The locals went nuts when they saw us together. The usual Germanic obsession with blondes I guess.

Does anyone know if the Rubi X can be ordered without leather? I am really against leather for wear and durability reasons and it may be a deal breaker for me.

I dont think you can get it without leather. If you dont want leather, you should get a regular rubicon and save the extra money. Or you could get ithe rubi x and swap seats with someone. I have cloth in my 2013 rubi and prefer leather and i would swap my seats with some cash for leather ones.
