Rubi Tires or other?

Rubi Tires or other?
All,
I have a stock 2-dr X, with 17" wheels. I plan on keeping it in stock form...except I'd like to upgrade the tires. My thought is just to go with the Rubicon tires, but does anyone have suggestions on alternatives?
As much as I want to go off-road, I don't do it that often, so I'd like a tire that is still good on paved roads, but it better off-road vs. the stock tires. (Is such a tradeoff possible?)
Thanks,
M

The stock BFG M/T's from the Rubicon are good tires, and tirerack.com has had them for under $100 for awhile now, so that price is tough to beat.
Sounds like from your usage a good all-terrain tire would suit you well, I've used the BFG A/T KO and it is very good. Good road manners, excellent in snow/icey road conditions, and in my experience they have been very good off-road. They don't usually do well in mud though. There are tons of good options though, for many it comes down to price and appearance of the tire.
