Default Rod knock at 26,000 miles ahhhhhh

My 07 jk wrangler got rod knock and then seized up at 26,000 miles today on my way home.. I'm so f'n pissed I could shoot someone! My warranty is out and I now need a new motor fml! Is anybody else having these problems with the first year jk's? I've done all my regular maintanance and oil changes. This 3.8 is a pos IMO.. Jeep totally failed me. My old 4.0 never had any problems through 65,000 miles when I sold it. And that thing I romped on. My jk I babied.

Pretty low miles for an 07 too. Sounds like it's time for a Hemi or LS!

That sucks, I would still contact Chrysler w/such low miles (I doubt they'd do anything but worth a shot). Are the problems w/the 3.8L just in the JK? I don't remember ever hearing about other Chrysler products having any issues?

My brother in law had serious problems with that engine in his Dodge minivan.

Hmmm... My experience has mostly been w/the old Mitsu 3L & Chrysler 3.3L, both decent engines(3L had some issues).

You know If you think about it, any auto manufacturer should honor that. Being that the vehicle is a 07 with 26,000 miles but they are all S***bags its all about selling the hell with the customers, screw the customers, and yet they all bs how they are for all their customers. I would call them and see how they really honor and really care about there customers see if they live up to there word. Good luck and very sorry to hear about your jeep.
