Well the time has finally come to transfer my command from precom detachment to the unit down in mississippi. Leaving Virginia tomorrow and ill be heading down to Pascagoula, MS to the shipyards. Routes from Norfolk to Pascagoula, three days.
I'll be waving at every jeep I see. Should be interesting as I've never been south of NC.

Safe journey! If you come through Charlotte, you will get a wave from me! I am making a road trip next month from Charlotte to Memphis (by way of the mountains) and then down to Biloxi and New Orleans. This will be my first road trip in the Jeep. Can't wait!

MS should be interesting to say the least. Never been south of myrtle beach.
Yup new burke DDG-110 William P. Lawrence. LPD 22 + 24 are coming out as well, and DDG-111 and 112.
Sad to say I'm going south of Charlotte.... trying to stay away from the storm as much as possible.

I was down there for LPD-17. In the summer (forget the month) watch out for thoes little black bugs they stick to everything and are a MOTHER to get off. (Rainex and a raizor blade did help)
