I've heard that taking out the carpet and then rhino lining it can increase the road noise inside of the jeep. Can anyone conform or deny this?

It was the first mod I did and love it. As far as road noise, there is not much of a difference. With the top and doors on, there is a little more heat especially with the plugs out. I have some heavey rubber floor matts that I use and they help with the noise and the heat.

Default inside liners

I can see where it might be useful, however u might wanna keep the carpet for insulation from the road noise and the heat. Having said all that, I think u'd get more bang for your buck to spray that bedliner on the outside bottom of your tub. Just from reading folk's articles about restoring old Jeeps seems the tubs are prone to rust out. I don't know that a JK would be as bad as yur old CJs and YJs, but if it's your thought to keep this JK for a long time it might be good to bed line the inside as well as the outside of the tub.

No other problem. I drove without it for a month before the Line-X, in August-Sept in SC and GA, no problem. Although it gets warm in direct sunlight.

It isn't any louder than it was with carpet, and it has less vibration.

Don't know about Rhino liner, but I used Herculiner and love it. I bet that Rhino would be great as well.

I line-x'd my interior and roll bars, and I love it. Very easy to get the dog hair out, just roll down the windows and if flys out! I didn't notice any increase in noise or heat.
